The main objective of developing this application is to provide a news experience that is personalized and tailored to readers’ interests, recognizing the needs of modern users who want information that is relevant to their personal preferences.

Through PiKa, Pikiran Rakyat seeks not only to meet the needs of today’s readers but also to take the lead in facing the dynamics of the ever-evolving digital media industry. Approach

PiKa features news personalization run by an artificial intelligence algorithm. These algorithms analyze users’ reading patterns to serve content that best suits their interests. The app’s user interface was designed to be responsive and engaging using React JS as the frontend framework, while its mobile app was developed using Flutter for consistency and responsiveness across multiple platforms.

In backend programming, Pikiran Rakyat chose Golang to provide the speed of execution and efficiency needed to handle intensive workloads. With this combination of technologies, PiKa provides a personalized and efficient reading experience to modern, increasingly savvy users.
