Indosat Ooredoo Hutchinson

Background 

In 2021, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison launched a Manage Service project aimed at improving internet services at Politeknik Negeri Bandung. In this project, focus was given to the management of 25 access point units with the aim of providing free wifi facilities evenly distributed throughout the campus area. The project approach began with an in-depth analysis of the needs of the customer, the campus, to specifically understand their expectations regarding internet service and wifi coverage. Next, the project team designed the network by strategically placing access points and adopting the latest technology to ensure optimal quality.

 

Approach 

The project implementation involved the application of the latest technology in network and wifi management, with a focus on regular monitoring, maintenance, and service upgrades. The implementation of a sophisticated management system also became an integral part of the effort to ensure high service availability and quick handling of potential problems. Along with that, training was provided to Politeknik Negeri Bandung staff to be able to manage the system independently, while full documentation was provided for reference and troubleshooting.

 

The impact of this Manage Service is very positive for Politeknik Negeri Bandung. Students, lecturers, and campus staff can enjoy faster and more reliable internet access throughout the campus area, while evenly distributed free wifi facilities provide easy access at no additional cost. Effective network management also contributes to improved operational efficiency and the ability to quickly address potential issues. This project not only creates a favorable environment for technology development, but also strengthens the mutually beneficial cooperation between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Politeknik Negeri Bandung.
