Indosat Mega Media

Background 

From 2018 to 2021, Indosat Mega Media (IM2) has been managing a Manage Service project that focuses on managing Cisco C881-K9 routers as Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) at their customer sites. During this time, IM2 has primarily worked to improve service quality and network infrastructure efficiency, particularly in five locations spread across Java.

 

Approach 

The approach taken by IM2 covers various aspects. First, they ensured optimal reliability and performance of the Cisco C881-K9 routers at each location. Next, the network optimization strategy was geared towards increasing network efficiency and capacity, including improved routing to Hong Kong and the UK. Network security was also a major concern with the implementation of strict security policies at the router level and throughout the network. In addition, IM2 provides proactive management services, including 24/7 monitoring, incident handling, and routine maintenance. Finally, continuous efforts are made to improve services by identifying opportunities for hardware or software updates that can improve network performance.

 

Service Management implemented by IM2 on Cisco C881-K9 routers in five locations on Java Island resulted in a significant positive impact. Dedicated routing settings to Hong Kong and the UK have improved the speed and quality of access to international servers, providing a better experience for customers. In addition, the implementation of strict security policies and proactive management has helped prevent security incidents and maintain service availability. Network optimization strategies have also brought efficiency in resource usage, reduced the risk of disruption, and increased network capacity. Overall, the Manage Service project has positively contributed to IM2’s operational effectiveness and network service quality, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.
